John Gulliver

John Gulliver’s major research interests are environmental fluid mechanics, mass transport in environmental systems, and flow and mass transport at hydraulic structures. His current research predominantly involves interfacial mass transfer, which is crucial to the development of lake and wastewater aerators; prediction of volatile toxic compound transfer from lakes and oceans; prediction of steam reaeration; and mitigation of pollution from urban runoff. 

His group is currently working on research projects to measure and predict air-water mass transfer at hydraulic structures; develop new assessment techniques for water quality performance of stormwater treatment practices; and investigate novel stormwater treatment practices.
