HY8T.zip This is Hy8t. It is a set of files from the Federal Highway Administration used in the design of culverts. It is needed in the solution of a problem set for Dr. Stefan's Hydraulics structures class, CE 4511. (450k)
pkunzip A selt-extracting file for decompressing files.
2xCO2 Project
Objective:
To project fish habitat changes under a 2xCO2 climate scenario, i.e. a climate after doubling of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it is necessary to know the thermal constraints of different fish species and to have access to the current and projected stream temperature time series. The latter is provided by researchers at SAFL and presented in two files.
STTEMP.TXT is an ASCII file containing mean weekly stream temperatures in oC at 397 USGS stream gaging stations. The values are tabulated in three columns: 1- weeks, 2- simulated weekly stream temperatures under past climate conditions, and 3- projected weekly stream temperatures under a 2xCO2 climate scenario. The stream temperature simulation is done utilizing the stream temperature model developed by Mohseni et al., [1998a, 1998b] and modified by Erickson et al., [1998]. The 2xCO2 climate scenario is obtained from the output of the General Circulation Model developed at the Canadian Climate Center.
The 397 USGS gaging stations are listed in a separate file named 397STATS.TXT. Their associated longitudes and latitudes are also listed following their USGS ID numbers. The last four columns in 397STATS.TXT file are average values of the model parameters at each stream gaging station.
