Edward Silberman
Director of St. Anthony Falls Laboratory 1963-1974

Dr. Silberman, who had received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering in the mid 1930's, returned to the University of Minnesota as a Research Associate at the Laboratory in 1946. He subsequently received an academic appointment in the Department of Civil Engineering. Silberman was Director of the Laboratory from 1963-1974. He retired
as Professor Emeritus at the end of 1981.
